Owner and Guide - Kashes Redfern
Kashes was born and raised on Vancouver Island. With a passion for the ocean and the outdoors he was hooked on fishing from the very beginning. Growing up on a small farm, it was his uncle who first introduced and ignited his passion. At age 6 his uncle took him fishing in Haikia pass and from then on it was obvious to everyone around him this wouldn’t just be a hobby but a deep rooted part of his life and ultimately his career. Starting his guiding career in Haida Gwaii he spent his later teen years learning to master his craft before returning to the rugged coast of Vancouver island. Kashes spends over 200 days a year on the water sharing his experiences and passion with his clients, when not on the ocean he can be found hunting, hiking and exploring all this beautiful province has to offer.

She’s equipped with a 2023 Yamaha 300, a mercury 9.9 kicker, top of the line electronics and a marine head.
What We Catch
During the spring and summer month's fishing from Zeballos, there's a large variety of fish to be caught, most trips see salmon (chinook and coho), halibut and lingcod. Later in the season we often get chances to target albacore tuna as well.
If you are interested in tuna fishing please contact us for more information.
During the fall and winter months fishing out of French Creek/Parksville we primarily target chinook salmon and set traps for crabs and prawns.
